Our Story
about FlyBy
FlyBy was established in 2008 in Bilbao, north of Spain. Initially founded by two pilots taking over the previous experience in training commercial pilots in a busy commercial airport like Bilbao.
The academy quickly obtained all approvals to conduct all different training courses, including the EASA ATPL Integrated course.
In 2015, new management took over and implemented a new vision: to provide affordable pilot training, with everything included, to an international audience! Since then, over 1,500 students have been trained from 112 different nationalities
Fleet has grown from 3 airplanes to 45 by the end of 2024. Additionally, 3 simulators have been added. Training is now being conducted from Burgos Airport, where FlyBy represents more than 90% of the operations. A third base will be launched in the coming months to support the growth.
FlyBy has gone from representing 1% of market share in Spain, to 15% in 2024.
FlyBy plans to continue growing and providing for its students with more and better facilities.
