Burgos
It is located in the interior of Spain, in the northern part of the region of Castilla y León. Its capital is the city of Burgos, where the only cathedral in Spain individually recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is located.
Another fine example of the rich cultural heritage of the province is the Atapuerca archaeological site, one of the most important in Europe and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also of interest are the municipalities of Santo Domingo de Silos, Covarrubias, Frías, and Aranda de Duero.
A must-visit

Instead, today Spain treasures the iconic Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica Metropolitana de Santa María, better known as the Burgos Cathedral.
